Data Acquisition System in Real Time developed with a National Instrument device: PCI-6034 with the following features:

  • 16 AI (16-Bit, 200 kS/s), 8 DIO, PCI Multifunction I/O Device.
  • 16 SE/8 DIFF AI channels; ±10 to ±0.05 V input range.
  • Eight 5 V TTL/CMOS DIO lines.
  • Two 24-bit, 20 MHz up/down counter/timers.
  • 68-pin male SCSI-II type connector.

The requirements were to develop a data acquisition system in real time with the ability to schedule a different kind of acquisitions.

I was in charge of selecting the Data Acquisition System, developing the software to make the data acquisition as well as all the tests needed for validating the whole system.

Used technologies: Matlab, Visual Basic and LabVIEW.
